What is TMJ

  • Heating or cold packs – apply these to the sides of your mouth for about 5 minutes after trying out some light jaw stretch’s
  • Softer foods – try to avoid hard and crunchy foods   
  • Medications – over the counter medications like aspirin and ibuprofen are often recommended to alleviate TMJ associated pain.
  • Nightguards – wearing these during sleep will help correct your bite pattern

If any of these alternative treatment options fail to correct your oral issue, we do offer surgical options to help rectify your TMJ disorder.
